For this episode, we are the Sponsor!
We’ve published a book called, The Fly Fisher’s Book of Lists: Life is short. Catch more fish.
We like to say it is a book of bite-sized snacks. Maybe even like a handful of potato chips. It’s an entire book of lists. The goal is to help you find practical help quickly and in an easily digestible format!
Yes laughter is good medicine. I remember a trip to Yellowstone. I was so excited to be fishing the famous river I dreamed of fishing sense my first days as a fly fisher. I couldn’t wait to get on the water . I quickly slipped into my old fly weight waders . Rushed to get my rod ready . Tied on my fly then entered the water. My wife snapping pictures per my request. I wasnt in the water long I made the comments dang this water is cold . Maybe I should have put some long undeware on or something. I made a few cast and it became apparent rather quickly as why the water felt so cold . My waders were filling up with water . I trugged out of the water stripped my waders off exposing my soaking wet jeans from top to bottom completely wet. At first I was a bit angry . Until I realized several people had stopped to take pictures of me fly fishing the Yellowstone. My wife started laughing then myself and few of the tourist . How embarrassing ? But the good side I didn’t let it stop me from fishing . I just walked right back into the water with my soaking wet jeans . I managed to land several trout making it all worth while. We still talk about it all these years later. I find the more I think about this Pod cast there are lots of laughing moments throughout my fly fishing adventures. I guess they go hand and hand. Best laugh rather then cuss but I’ve had a few of those moments as well lol
