Fly fishing adjustments are essential to making a lousy day one fish better. To catch more fish means focusing on the little things.
That’s especially true when wade fishing.
Wade fishing is not like drift-boat fishing. In a drift boat, you cast to your left. You cast to your right. If you’re with a guide, he or she tells you where to cast. However, if you wade-fish primarily, like we do, the learning curve has no end. Every outing contains lessons in what not to do. Occasionally, we get it right and catch a few fish.
In this episode, we discuss some of the fly fishing adjustments we’ve made or relearned in the past couple years.

If you are just starting out, this book is for you. There’s a lot to learn to begin catching fish consistently.
Often, it’s the little things that make a big difference, increasing your enjoyment of the sport.
“The Fly Fisher’s Book of Lists” is a must-read for folks who prefer to scan lists and find new ways to catch more fish. Read one list, and, like a handful of peanuts, you won’t be able to stop at one.
