  1. Hi Steve/Dave (sorry for doubling up, I already sent you a very similar email but figured might as well put this in the comment section too),

I just discovered your podcast a few weeks ago. Absolutely love it! Thanks for all the work you put into it. I went all the way back to the first and am listening my way through all of them.

I have only been fly fishing for the past 4 years or so, mostly around the Lake Tahoe area. Totally hooked! I live in the SF bay area btw. We have two little kids (7 and 2), and I am looking into a vacation trip we could take which would combine a fun family vacation with as much fly fishing as I can fit in without completely alienating my family.

I really enjoyed your podcast on such topics (incl this one about the yellowstone area and tips on how to get family and young ones into the sport).

After some research I have mostly narrowed it down to Jackson and Bozeman as the top 2 choices (some others on the list are Sun Valley, Sandpoint, Missoula). First, would you agree?

And then, which would you recommend for the purpose? I am hoping to rent a house which ideally would have direct river access (so I can sneak out at anytime and also get at least my older girl onto a rod as easily as possible) and be in an area where other family friendly excursions are close. It feels like Jackson may be the ticket but I am not sure how I feel about the exorbitant prices and general celebrity image out there. In the back of my mind I also have this idea of potentially looking into buying property at the right place to spend more extended time there.
Bozeman on the other hand seems less set up in terms of kids activities (but I may have that wrong)?

Anyway, any words of wisdom from you would be greatly appreciated!

    Best,
    Albert
